How to Examine Your Model Car After Painting

Hi, I'm Greg B. from Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about model cars. What you might want to do is look your car over carefully. See if you have any bleed through and if you do you could add some more primer on there. What your primer does is it attacks the plastic. It etches in and allows your finish coat to stick. It's all experience. You probably have to do quite a few cars. You get the experience and you can get that pro look without spending a lot of money. We'll let that set up. Some guys will use a light for heat to get the paint to set up a little faster. Ok, when you're getting ready to paint your color on, I like to put that first coat on, let it sit for about twenty minutes to a half hour, put the second coat on, let it sit about fifteen minutes, then put the third coat on and you want to put it on when you got that shine coming through but you don't want to put it on where it starts running on you. Once you get that wet color on that should be the shine you're going to get out of the car.
