Now I'm going to demonstrate a Reef Knot. This is also referred to as a square knot. Kind of have interchangeable names when you get down to it. Now we're going to look down on the table that I have here. And I have my two lines coming up as so. Now basically what I'm going to do, is I'm just going to create a half knot, or a granny knot, what ever you want to call it. Bring it down; put a little bit more length in this. And then I'm going to take these two ends back, and I'm going to create the same granny knot. And as you can see right here are not the same, they are opposite. And this is not how I want it to be done. I want it to be, both knots to be identical in their shape and form. Ooops. Once again, not so well. There we go, that's what I was looking for. And as I pull them down you can see that it creates these double loops that come over one another. And this way. Lets do this one more time. We'll take it and tie a granny knot into it. And take it over, under. Pull my knot in it again. And there it is.
