Stevedore's knot is another great classic knot that we're going to learn here. A great stopper knot. And Stevedore's is not really a person; Stevedore is actually what we would refer to as a long shore man. So if we look down here on our table here, you can see I've got my line setup. What I'm going to do is I'm going to pull out a little bit of length on this. And I'm just going to create, bend it back down, and just create a bite here. Pull a little bit more. What I'm going to do, is I'm going to take my bite and twist it. Once, twice, three, four, this is four times. I wanted four good elbows when I do it here, like so. What I'm going to do, is I'm going to take my working end, and I'm going to bring it back up and under and through my loop here and pull it down. This is going to create a blood knot typish knot, once we pull it down. You can see, there it is, right there. A nice figure of eight, with an extra loop in it here. We'll do this one more time. And we'll take our line here, and we'll just create a bite in it like so. We'll take it, and we'll twist it once, twice, three, four usually to get that nice third elbow in there. And we'll take our line back through and under. And once we bring it down, there it is. Your Stevedore's knot.
