This is the true lovers knot. The true lovers knot is one of the weaker angling knots that is used. If you've heard me talk before, I've talked about rope strength before. And this knot will actually reduce the strength of your rope, somewhere between fifty to seventy percent. So, if you look down here on the table, you'll see that I've got my length of line. I've got my hoop that I'm going to use here. Basically what I'm going to do, I'm going to pull quite a bit of line here. I'm just going to create an overhand knot. And I'm not going to pull this tight together yet. I'm going to take what I have left of my working end, and I'm going to run it through my hoop, like so. And then back through, like this. And then I'm going to go ahead and tighten this up, pulling all my length here on my working end, so that I have a little bit more. And what I'm going to do, is I'm just going to go ahead and create another overhand knot over here like so. And what I'm going to do, is I'm going to work this over until I get these two knots to actually come together. And basically what we're looking for is for the knots to support one another as you tighten it up. And there you go, a true lovers knot.
