Caring for Hair in Humidity

Hi, I'm Amelia and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to talk about troubles that you have with your hair. There's different things that alter our hair when it comes to humidity. We get frizz, some of us get flat, some of us get big. So it just depends on the problem that you run into. And if you get all three of those things, well, then you've really got an issue. Now frizz is real easy, you just find something that's got a good silicone based anti frizz product. You always want to make sure it's got silicone in it. Try and be very light handed with it. You want to make sure that you just use a little bit, a little dot. Mulcify it and run it through, and just in those areas where you have that frizz. You don't want to put it all over because it will weigh your hair down. The humidity against fine hair, you really, the problem with that is the hair tends to get really flat. So when you are fighting humidity with fine hair, you really need something physical to stop it. And I recommend teasing. Just a few little taps of your comb and that's going to give you a lot more volume. And then, the humidity can't break through that. Whereas the humidity can break through most products. So whenever fighting humidity with fine hair, I highly recommend just tease the scalp and you'll get a lot more volume and you'll be able to keep it throughout the day. Now let's say you've got hair that's curly and it starts to get limp throughout the day, before you leave the house you're just going to want to hit any limp spots with your curling iron. Just curl it right up, and that'll help hold. And at least if you leave the house with your hair a little more curly or a little bit bigger than you're used to, by the middle of the day you'll look normal. Now if your hair starts to get larger through the day, you're going to want to make sure that you continue using a really good deep conditioning product, and some good smoothing products. And you may just want to wear your hair in a ponytail. So with those things hopefully you can help fight the humidity.
