Hairstyling Product Tips & Advice

Hi, I'm Amelia and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to talk about troubles that you have with your hair. Just because you've spent a fortune on your hair doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go out and spend fifty dollars on shampoo. Now there are products that you do want to make sure that you always spend money on. Those are, a good deep conditioner. You always want a good deep conditioner that's got really good quality products in it. So you want to turn it over and you do want to read the ingredients. Because if it claims that it's got, you know, sun flower oil in it, or avocado oil in it, you want to make sure it really says that. And a lot of the less expensive products, they don't have it. Or they have the amount that they expensive products do. These products, also, you don't have to use as much, they're a lot more concentrated. So depending on what your hair needs, if your hair needs protein and moisture, you're definitely going to want to spend more money on a deep conditioner. Another thing you're going to want to really spend money on, if you color your hair red, or if you have super blonde highlights that are difficult for you to maintain, then you are going to want to spend money on a good shampoo and conditioner, a good quality color safe shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is pretty normal and you don't color your hair a lot, then you could get away with using some of the less expensive products. I do, however, recommend that you go with a company that has a professional line. I recommend things like the Clairol lines, the Loreal's, those types of things that have got professional lines, at least in other countries. Now, if your hair is red, or like I said, if you've got blonde highlights that are difficult to maintain, you're going to want to use a good quality color shampoo and conditioner. Because red hair is very difficult to maintain and keep vibrant. You're also going to want to possibly spend money on a color enhancing shampoo which actually has color in it. Especially if you're a blonde and you want to keep it really cool blonde, then you'll want to go with a shampoo say that has like a purple in it. And we so have some on the other side of the isle that are less expensive that you can get away with. One other product that you're really going to want to spend money on is your pomade. If you use a lot of waxes or anti frizz products, you do want to spend money on that. Because a lot of the cheaper ones are just too heavy. They've got too many mineral oils and waxes in them and they build up. Whereas the more expensive ones are easier to shampoo out, and they're water salable, and they're just a lot lighter. So with those things that you're armed with, you can go out to the grocery store and you'll know exactly what you need.
