How to Cook Instant Rice

Hi. This is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make Basil Chicken with Curry Coconut Sauce. Okay, well our coconut milk is on a low flame. I'm waiting for it to get, it's starting to thicken up now and it's going to just start bubbling. But I'll get my rice ready. Instant rice. Real easy. One cup of rice, one cup of water. Let's add it to our bowl. Instant rice is great. You really can't mess it up. One cup of instant rice. One cup of water. And if desired, one tablespoon of butter. We're going to get this to a boil and we're then going to reduce the heat, take it off the heat, and just cover it and let all that rice absorb the water. Real simple to make instant rice. Alright, instant rice is a great thing to cook it over. You can put it over a bed of noodles if you want to. I like the rice because you don't have to babysit it and you can just let it cook its own way. And you come back and it's great. Alright so just come back. We're going to start adding all our ingredients cause the coconut milk is just starting to boil.
