Highlighting Hair in Multi-Dimensions

Hi, I'm Amelia and on behalf of expertvillage.com we're going to be talking about highlighting at home. A lot of nice styles with color use a lot of dimension and what I mean about dimension when I'm speaking about multi dimension I'm speaking about different colors of hair. If you have every looked at a child's hair or if you ever looked at a natural blond you see a lot of different colors going on and that's what makes hair color interesting. Is to see all those colors blended together. Now again when you're thinking about multi dimensional hair color you really want to take in consideration your cut. This mannequin here she has a lot of layers and those layers look really well with a lot of different colors going on cause you can really piece those pieces out and utilize those piecing and that color brings that piecings out. So you really want to take that into consideration when picking out your colors, the siding of placement of colors and all of that. Multi dimension in hair is usually a highlight and a low light and sometimes a mid light and again a mid light is just a color that is a little off from your base color. This mannequin mid light is a red because her natural hair color is sort of a medium brown so as you can see up against this white you can see that red verses the medium brown. It's a very slight difference but you can see it and when it's mixed in with the hair you can tell that there is something different in there but you don't know what. It blends in there very nicely and the low light is obviously several levels darker than your natural color and the same with the blond. So that is what multi dimension is and you can utilize with multi dimension to make your hair style much more interesting and to show off the movement. Also to bring out your bangs as you can see this side is much more darker so you can really use it to show off your style.
