Now, before you go much further, I like then to mess with the leg. You do the same thing you did up at the back leg, but you will cut around here at the joint and then split it up the actual leg. Cutting around both sides, you'll do that on one leg and then the other, working this down so you can peel it off. You can see that I've split the cape around the leg. What I'm going to do here is continue to work our way down, separating the cape from the body. Cutting down to this little part of the neck where we'll jut cut it off from there and just continue. You can pull and work your way down on both sides until you get to a low enough point here, then cut it off. Now that we've got it skinned down the cape; to separate the cape we'll just cut this neck off. The easiest way is to use your knife and cut to the bone all the way around. From there use a saw, hatchet or various other tools just to saw it off. After that you are done with skinning the deer. Typically you need to keep the head for proof of sex with the meat, wherever its final destination is.
