Start Up Your Jacuzzi

Hi I am Francisco Cales of Tampa, Florida with Pool Inspectors and behalf of Expert Village our theme for today is basic spa maintenance. The three fundamentals to maintain a pool would be our chemistry, our filtration and our circulation. Our filtration is taken care of by our filter which needs to be maintained. Just by looking at the psi on the gage we can see how often it needs to be changed, it is approximately every six months. Your pump is what circulates the water throughout the pool. If you have an automatic chlorinator this will help your chemistry. We need to keep our pool happy and healthy. At Pool Inspector our main goal is to maintain and extend the life of our pool. Our equipment by always maintaining the water level to a certain level to where it is halfway between the skimmer and the water line. That way we don't allow any air to get into our system. By giving proper maintenance to our swimming pool we can extent the life to our plaster, the pump, and our filter which is of the utmost importance when you hire a maintenance person or you do it yourself to come in here and we must understand what we are dealing with here. One of the main questions that is always asked is how long does my system need to run and an easy answer to that is approximately one hour for ever ten degrees outside. Here in Florida in the winter we are about 70 to 80 degrees so that would equal to about seven to eight hours a day that we need to run our filter. It also depends on if you have animals or if your children swim in the pool. We need to keep your water happy and healthy. We are going to go ahead now and close this up and thank you very much from Pool Inspectors.
