Hi I'm Jason. I'm filming on behalf of Expert Village.com today. We?re making a beaded necklace with recyclable materials. In the beginning I showed you the wire that I chose. This looks like it was a piece of wire from a telephone line at one time. Were just going to measure the amount we need if were making it for us or someone else. I have a head here, a fake head with a neck and what I'll do is I'll just put the wire around the neck and I'll pinch it with my fingers. For the measurement, make sure it comes off of the head. Now we now that it's big enough for the head at that point, but were not making a choker. Obviously the more string you have the farther it will droop down. We?re going to have to go through the charm here which is going to take up another half an inch. So were going to need take it out another half an inch at least for this. There's no way, if we put it on the charm and with the beads, just the size of the neck, there's no way it would fit around our neck. Extra space is taking up for this charm, so with that in mind pull out about approximately another inch and then another inch right after that. At the back of your fingers where you got it held, we did have scissors, we'll just cut right there.
