Touching Up Beads for Recycled Jewelry

Hi, I'm Jason. I'm filming on behalf of expertvillage.com. We're making a beaded necklace out of recycled materials. Just things we found lying around. Now, we've got all the edges on all of our things, that we're going to use the beads, the charm, and the clasps, smooth so that they look nice and won't cut anyone who wears it, or yourself while you're wearing it. Now I'm just going to do some touch up on the beads. These have white ends in the beads. I'm just going to fill them in with a sharpie. No one will ever know that it's not a bead. You've got the black, fill it in on both sides. The sharpie should keep the color on there indefinitely. If not it's easy to touch up. The second thing I want to do with all of these, is make sure that the wire that I've chosen will fit through the holes on all of these. They didn't get obstructed anywhere through the process, and I'm going to do that with, just another small piece of wire. This happened to be the safety pin that I used earlier. You just want to stick it in there slowly so I don't rip the middle out, and make sure that it's going to come all the way through. The tip came through, so just work it back off. There's one, the same with bead number two. Came out the end. So we can string those and the other thing that we want to make sure is that there is, in the middle of the clasp that well as we cut it or whatever, that it didn't come away from the other piece of metal, so there's not a gap, and there's not a gap in this one. I know it's kind of hard to see but, there's no gap. It won't fall off once we put it together. We will talk about arranging next, and measuring for the wire.
