When you go into the pawn shop make sure you have your ID or drivers license and that it is a valid ID or drivers license. Because we will take information and we have to write what is called a police report. Basically this is our police report. I just made it for you real quick. It just says John Doe on it, but we take a thumb print, the signature and then all of this information is filled out. Basically it's your drivers license, your date of birth, sex, euthenicity, hair color, height, all that stuff and it has our police division that we belong to, and the name and address of our company, and our license number. This is what I was talking about; make sure that peoples items that are stolen, they get their items back because of this little ticket right here. This goes to the police department, it has that item serial number on it, they run those serial numbers, make sure they're not stolen, they give us a call and tell us whether or not something is stolen. So the key, a key tidbit to know when you go into a pawn shop have that ID ready, know that you're going to put your thumb print down, know that you're going to put your signature down to make sure that that item is not stolen. If a person brings in something knowingly that is stolen, that is against the law and basically there is a law called "Defrauding a Pawn Shop Broker" or I'm sorry "Defrauding a Pawn Broker." I don't remember what code that is, but if you go into a pawn shop and willingly bring in something that is stolen and you get caught of course, you will go to jail and you will have to pay fines and reimburse the pawn shop for what they had to pay for it and the people will get their items back. You know, you don't want to steal anything regardless, but you definitely don't want to bring it into a pawn shop because they will find out who is stealing what.
