TVs & DVD Players in Pawn Shops
Hi, this is Luis for expertvillage.com and we're going to be talking about pawn shops. Today I'm here at Inland Jewelry and Loan. This is our electronic section as you can see behind me. I've got radios, DVD players, I've got TV's, foreign wide. I mean from all make and models to all years, all sizes, I've got stuff in the back that we haven't even put out yet. It's so busy, we get people buying every few minutes and we've got to keep restocking from our back room, but our prices like I said are the best. You get a TV like this, you're going to pay in here $45, you'll probably pay $100 to $200 brand new for a TV like that. Or a DVD player like this one Tosiba 49 bucks and I'll give it to you for 35 bucks. If you go into a regular store you're going to pay $100 for it. So that's where the price difference is, that's where the deal is. People come in here because they don't have a huge budget. People that benefit the most, I would definitely say would be people that are looking for a good deal. Anyone who goes into a retail store is going to pay full retail. Usually when you go into a retail store, you're not just paying for the item, you're paying for their lunches, you're paying for the electricity bill, you're paying for them renting the building. We own the building here, so we don't have to worry about that stuff, we just want to give you a good deal. So if you want to benefit from getting a good deal, you go into a pawn shop. And then over here, we've got video games in this counter right here. We've got more electronics, Game Cubes, Play Stations, just all kinds of stuff. We've even got motor cycle helmets that we make sure are not too old for the riders and stuff like that. We get iPod's, sunglasses, just basically it's almost, we take almost everything. We really don't discriminate on what we take because if we can make a buck off of it, we'll do it and that's what we want. We want to make a couple of bucks but we want to make sure that when we make those couple of bucks you're getting a good deal. And the way that we do that is we look up prices that are used on eBay and we price them at those prices and even lower than that.
