Hi. My name is Melissa Powell and I'm with Expert Village. In discussing Blackjack. The next thing we're going to talk about is what a natural is versus not a natural, or just twenty-one. So I'm going to go ahead and deal two cards to each Player as if I've done it in the proper fashion. But for time's sake, I'm just going to do it two cards like this. And what do you know. Here is what is called a natural Blackjack. You can see that in all of these other cards, so they have, these other hands rather, though they all have face cards, none of them are what are considered a natural twenty-one. The ten and the four, fourteen. The Queen and the ten again is twenty. The King and the six, sixteen. And because the Ace is worth either one or eleven, paired with the Queen, it's an obvious natural Blackjack. Now over here we have two fives. Let's imagine that this particular Player wanted a hit. Well look at that. They have and eleven, so a total of twenty-one. This, however, is not considered a natural, whereas this is. This is just twenty-one. So assuming they beat the Dealer, they would get paid, but if you make a natural, you get paid one and a half times the amount that you've bet. So this is the difference between a natural and just twenty-one.
