Preparing Ham for A Spanish Omelet

On behalf of Expert Village my name is Lizbeth Muller and today we are going to show you how to make Spanish omelet. I'm going to do the potatoes that I just cut up in a little bit of salt. I'm going to place it in water and again begin to boil it. It would approximately take about 10 minutes because like I said you don't want to over cook it. You want it to cook later on to actually to fry it like. That is the important part that it is kind of fried and seasoned up which is seasonings. So we are going to boil it for about 10 minutes. While your potatoes are boiling you can actually cut up your pieces of ham. Let me show you what kind of ham that I would like you to get which is really more like Spanish. It is dry looking a little bit, this is called Serrano ham and they have all different companies that make this Serrano ham. But this is what it looks like, it is more dry and it is a little bit more salty. It has a little bit more taste to it I feel. I'm going to dice it up, cut it really small. I like my omelet with lots of ham it is delicious and cut it up. You can set it aside and that is what you can use there ham. I will tell that also another nice Spanish ingredients to this could be a chorizo and chorizo looks like this. It is Spanish also like a Spanish chorizo, it is very fatty but it taste really really good in a omelet.
