How to Prepare a Surface for Buffing

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I'll be talking about preparing the surface. For best results in using the buffer, you want to make sure that your surface is clean and dry. Most high gloss surfaces outside of your car can be cleaned using just a mild soap and water solution. So you want to make sure and wash your car pretty good. You also want to make sure that when you're preparing your surface when cleaning it, you don't put any cleaner directly onto your car cause it can damage or scratch the surface. You always want to put it on a rag first and then use the rag on your vehicle.
