Finding Recent Documents in Microsoft Windows

Hi! I’m Ross. Thanks for visiting expertvillage.com. What can we do with computer files? Let’s find out. What is most recent documents and how do you clear it? Windows will keep a running list of the documents that you access, if it’s turned on. Click start, and if you go up towards the top it says my recent documents. This is a good way to find files that you’ve been working on. You click on the file and it will open up in the program that was used to create it. This list is dynamic, meaning that the oldest file will fall off the list as new files are accessed. Those names will show up here. You can clear this list by going down to properties of the task bar. I can do that by right clicking on the start button, going to properties, and left clicking to select it. I have two tabs up here. I want to select the start menu tab, go to customize, and then go up to the tab here called advanced. If you look at the bottom section, recent documents, you can clear the list by clicking on this button. You also can turn off the list so it does not show.
