Understand the Basic Maintenance of Electric Staplers

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be talking about basic maintenance for your electric stapler. This particular electric stapler does not require any lubrication. It's designed to work effectively without having to oil it. To clean the staple gun you want to take just a damp cloth and wipe the outside of it getting off any dirt and debris. In addition, I like to take the cord and run the rag down the entire length of the cord. While I do this I always check for nics or cracks in the cord as well. After cleaning and inspecting the cord you want to take a close look at the plug end again the cord is the life line of your tool so you want the entire thing to be in the best condition possible. What you're looking for on these plug ends are any type of damaged or bent ends on it. If they are damaged or bent distorted in any way, you want to make sure and get those fixed. Lastly I always double check to make sure that my trigger switch lock is working properly. This is one of the biggest safety features of your tool so you want to make sure it's in the proper working condition.
