Hi, this is Sean Hobson, for Expert Village. What we want to talk about now is trying to keep our running backs and receivers away from being tackled. One of the key ways to keep from being tackled is to use the other guys you have on the field. That would be your blockers. Either your linemen, when you are originally coming through being able to read those guys. If they kick the block out or if they pin the block inside, you should be able to read those guys. Another way to effectively use your blocker is when you're running up field and someone is coming across to make a tackle you want to stay with your blockers. Let them make the blocks, and then you come off of them. If you have a blocker in front of you we don't want our running back to decide to run to one side of the field when his blocker is running in the other direction. You want to depend on the people on the field with you. If you can learn to use your blockers effectively it's going to make you a much better running back and it will keep you from being tackled a lot of times on the field.
