Sharing Presentations in Google Documents
DREW NOAH: So now I'm going to talk about how you can share and publish your Google Presentation, and just like all Google Document and Google Spreadsheet, you can invite collaborators and viewers. So a collaborator will be able to edit the document and a viewer can only see it, and only the people you invite will be able to see it, so just whatever e-mails you enter. And you can see, as I start typing, it brings up my contacts, and this is from my Gmail account that I'm signed in as. Or I could--I clicked "Choose from contacts" and it brings this contacts pop-up which I've showed you on the other documents. But then I will just invite them and you would have "Collaborators may invite others." If you want them to be able to invite others, leave this checked. If you want to be the owner and the only person that can invite other people, uncheck this. And then if you're inviting a mailing list, you'll probably want to check this: "Invitations may be used by anyone." So you would invite the collaborators and then they would be able to edit this presentation just like you can right here. And if you'd like to publish this, you would just go to the "Publish" tab at the very end, and then "Publish document." And then you can see now you have a URL, and this URL, if I click on it, and I can show you, is the presentation. And this is a really cool thing right here, this "Mini Presentation Module" which you can click and paste this code right here and then paste it into your own Web site or into your own blog or even a site like MySpace and it will put in this little module right here that will play just like a slideshow. You even got a "Menu" for other people can embed it, so that's pretty cool. So that's how you would publish it to the world, but if you only want to share it with specific people, that's when you would just share it. So that's how to share and publish work in a Google Presentation.
