PETTIDEE: What's up? This is Pettidee from Soldier Sound Records with Expert Village, and I'm going to give you tips on performing live. Next one we're going to talk about is crowd interaction. Interacting with the crowd, whether you're a pro or whether you're a rookie will give you fans for life. When you interact with the crowd, it--at that one moment in time, the CD comes to life, the CD comes to life and it lets them know that, "Hey, I'm here with you." When you come down, whether you jump in the crowd or whether you handshake or whether you're throwing out CDs, interacting with the crowd brings the music alive to them so that when they go back home and they listen to the album or listen to the CD or even think about that moment in time, it is special to them and actually, it'll be special to you as an artist. For me, crowd interaction is, for me, I'm the biggest fan. You know, I'm the biggest fan. So, I've always wanted to do things in crowd interaction that I've always wanted to see when I go to a concert. I've always wanted to have the artist pull me up and let me do that part of the song, or come down and dance with me or snatch my hat out of my head and put it on. Crowd interaction just takes your show and you as an artist with the fans to a whole another level. So, always have crowd interaction, control crowd interaction. Never stay in the crowd too long. Remember, you got a show to do, you got to perform, so you don't want to stay in the crowd too long because then you're cheating the rest of the people who can't get to you. Get back to the stage, show everybody love; crowd interaction is very important, and have fun with it. Also, when you're interacting with the crowd, never take one person and embarrass him. Never take one person and pick at him or make everybody laugh at him because when you leave that city, that person can't live that now, and just like in a good interaction with the crowd gives you fans for life, picking at somebody and hurting their feelings on the stage could give you an enemy for life too, so don't pick on other people, man; just have a good time with them. Respect them, they'll respect you.
