How to Move Arms in the Brazilian Samba Dance

Before I show you the dislocation, the traveling of Brazilian summer dance, basic step, I'm going to talk a little bit about the hands. The Brazilian hands is like a ballerina. Some people, some instructors like to have this position, some instructors like to have this position, some instructors this position. I just like to refer to the classic that is ballet. The same kind of hands that you have as a ballerina in a classic ballet class is the same for the Brazilian samba, okay? And of course you're going to be alternating the hands with the legs, so if you have your right leg in front, you're going to have your left hand in the front, and if you have your left hand in the front you're going to have your right leg in the front, and that's pretty much common sense for a dancer, okay? So if you have a classic formation you know what I'm talking about. If you don't, it's pretty much a dove hand, but still something graceful. You can choose like this, like this, like this but it's about just grace, okay, about grace. So, once again, if you're right hand is in the front, your left leg is going to be in the front. If you're left leg is in the front, you're right hand is going to be in the front. It's just common sense, okay? It looks good, feels good, is good.
