Switch Between Ranges in Filipino Martial Arts

JOHN BROWN JR.: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is John Brown, and I'm going to show you how to change between the ranges. We're going to work from a long range back to a medium range. Whether he attacks me and I step back and cut at a long range and then follow up at a medium range. Or he attacks; I go long range. He comes back for another attack, and I come back in for the medium range. Medium range to long range or long range back to medium range. Either way, practice it. I don't have time to get out of range, so I go to medium-range technique back to a long range. That's a safer technique. And medium range back to long range, standard grip, reverse grip, medium, long, long, medium. Either way. And back to long range. That's how to put it.
