Defend in Close Quarters in Filipino Martial Arts

JOHN BROWN JR.: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is John Brown, and now I'm going to show you the close-quarter range which consists of take-downs and finishes. So when he feeds, I go direct and I could take that straight down to the ground, still being aware of his weapon, but I finish at a close-quarter range. Standard grip, reverse grip, a lot of disarms, take-downs, elbows at this range. You can even switch hands and go to work from here. Close-quarter range, just finish him. Close-quarter range known as the quarter range. This is a perfect shot, straight down the spinal column, hamstring so he can't run away, and finish. Close-quarter range, that's a good way to work your close-quarter range.
