JOHN BROWN JR.: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is John Brown, and we're going to work some medium range. Now, the medium range is I didn't have time to get out of range to the long range. When he attacks, I didn't have time to get back and counter-cut. Now, I have to deal with it. So when he cuts, I have to cut also and deal with his cut. In the medium range, I'm still going to focus on the blade but also at this range is when I could start using my punches and my low-line kicks. Cut, thrust. I can kick, I can punch, and I can follow up. Medium range, I can still punch with my knife in if I want to. [INDISCERNIBLE] medium range, standard grip, reverse grip. And the take-downs are considered to be more of the close-quarter range which we're going to go over next, but sometimes they just flow in. So when you're working the medium range, you can go inside, outside or also split on your entries.
