Thrust & Feint Drill in Filipino Martial Arts

JOHN BROWN JR.: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is John Brown, and we're going to work the attack as a feint or a bait just to get them to react. So this thrust that I was doing to the line in between the ribs, he's going for that grab. So as he reacts for the grab, I disengage and cut to the low line. So I went from a thrust to a cut or a slice. So my bait or my attack gets a reaction, and I disengage that and commit to another strike. So this is how it looks. I thrust, boom! I get the shot. Then we put it into drill format. I thrust to him; he goes to defend and I cut. Then he does it to me and he cuts. And we could play a little bit more, get a little bit of movement, and cut. He reacts; I cut. Good, just like that, trying to work a reaction. And that's how we're going to work our thrust with our baiting energy to get them to react and to finish with a slice.
