Adding Decorations to Christmas Bracelets: Part 3

Hi! I'm Robin with trees-mom.com. We're making a video for Expert Village today. We're crocheting wire to make a Christmas bracelet. This is what we've gotten so far. We have the bracelet, the center decoration, the clasp, and some of the snowflakes on. Now we're going to do a candy cane. We're going to take the wire, have it come through the front of the bracelet, and we're going to pick up red and white seed beads, about 7 or 8 of them, to make the candy cane. This is really easy to do. You just put them on the work surface. Run your wire through. It's a lot easier than using a needle and thread. After you get all of your beads on your wire, you're going to go down to the bottom of the wire and you're going to put it on the front of the bracelet. Do it in the shape of a candy cane, curling the end, and then you just have the wire go back through to secure it. You might also want to come up and put some wire between some of these little seed beads just to make sure it stays in place. If you find that some of the beads may want to go a different way than you wanted them to go, you can always take you needle nose pliers and twist the wire so that it'll make it stay right where it's supposed to go. There you have your candy cane.
