Making the First Row for Christmas Bracelets

Hi! I'm Robin with trees-mom.com. We're making a video for Expert Village today. We're crocheting wire to make a Christmas bracelet. We're going to start with our chain stitch. To do this, you take the loop that you just made and put a crochet hook in the loop. You're going to put the wire under your pinky and over the back of your fingers. Your thumb is going to hold the little tail that you left. You're holding your crochet hook horizontal to the table. You go underneath the wire and just grab some and pull it through the hook. That's just underneath the wire, grab some, pull it through the loop, pull the hook through the loop. As you're making your chain stitch, you're going to move your thumb and your pointer finger up. That's what's holding on to your chain stitch. You just go underneath the wire and pull it through the loop. After you've done 10 or so, you're going to check it with your measurement that you've already done, that's sitting in front of you, to see if you've made it longer. Usually, I use about 15-20 to go around my wrist. It depends on how big your loops and how big of a crochet hook that you're using.
