Hi! I'm Robin with trees-mom.com. We're making a video today for Expert Village. We're crocheting wire to make a Christmas bracelet. To get started to do this, we need to make the loop. It's called a slipknot. You just leave the wire on your spool of wire. You're going to make a loop. I always put my thumb on the wire and just poke it up through the loop that you've made. Then it just tightens right up. You're going to leave about a 3 or a 4 inch tail on this loop. This is where you're going to hold the wire as you crochet it. You make sure that this loop is uniform every time you crochet your loop. This is where the crochet hook sticks into the loop. There's a lot of different ways to make the loop. The one I showed is just the way that I do it, so let's show you again. There's one loop, then you take your thumb, go underneath the loop, pull it through, and tighten it. Okay, let's do this loop one more time close up. You make the loop, take your thumb under the loop that you just made, and push it through the loop. Then you grab the loop that was on your thumb and tighten.
