Hi, this is Sean Hobson for Expert Village. What we are talking about right now is we're working with our quarterbacks and keeping them with the good mindset that when they are chased out of the pocket they can still make a play. So, what we're going to talk about here is when our quarterback gets chased out from the back side and this time he's going to be chased out to his weak side. He's a right handed passer so if he was chased out, he really wants to roll to that side. But, sometimes you're going to be forced to go to the side that you don't want to and he's got to know what to do. So, the first step is, as our receiver releases and this guy comes in for the blitz, the first thing is, he's got to again, look downfield, try to keep his shoulders as much to the field as he can and keep that ball protected in case this guy tries to come up and make the sack from behind. He can't be having the ball hanging down loose, he's got to keep it up tight. Now, once he locks on a receiver and wants to throw it, there's a couple of rules you've got to remember when rolling to the weak side. One is, you cannot turn your body and throw across your body to the other side of the field. There's no way to get any momentum on that throw. So what you want to do is, you only want to make a throw going in the direction that you're going in. And the same thing, you don't want to get on the back foot when making that throw. You want to be going towards the throw or try to get your shoulders squared up to make a good throw down the field. Now, let's try to run this at pretty much game speed so you can see what it looks like when the quarterback's rolling out to the weak side. "Good." You saw he was running out to the weak side, he got his shoulders up field, he got his feet squared around and he made a good throw down the field. And that's what you do when you're chased out going to the weak side.
