Hi, this is Sean Hobson for Expert Village. We are working right now on our quarterbacks in making the proper hand off. Now, we've already talked about earlier the footwork to the hand off. The main things that you want to remember about handing the ball off to the runningback is the quarterback has to go to the runningback and has to put the ball in the belly of the runningback. It is not the responsibility of the runningback to chase down the ball. He just has to be running towards the open hole and we want the quarterback to stick the ball in there. Now, can't have our quarterback leaning way out here to make the hand off. We've got to have our quarterback going up so it's nice and comfortable. He's going to put the ball right in there and make sure that he gets the ball locked in so that we don't have a fumble. That quarterback's eyes have to be concentrated right on the spot that he's giving the hand off to. He can't be looking away. He can't be looking at a defender. So, let's slowly walk through and watch how the quarterback is handing the ball off to the runningback. "Come on, walk through it." Now, you see that he's deep in there. We also want our quarterback to be in a good stance when he gives that hand off because what we're going to have is, we're going to have that quarterback ride that on through and he may pop it out at some point in time. So, he can't be off balance when he exchanges the hand off. But, the main thing is to put that ball in the belly of your runningback.
