Hi this is Sean Hobson for Expert Village. What I want to talk about right now is the importance of the wide receiver position. Now not just anybody can be a wide receiver, a lot of people think if we just stick somebody out there and they're fast and they can get up field, they can play the wide receiver spot. But you want to be careful when you select the perfect person to be a wide receiver. First thing, you want to have a little size in your wide receivers, you don’t want the smallest guy on the team to be a wide receiver because of the punishment they may take on the outside or coming across the middle. You want somebody that's got good size, you want somebody that's got good speed, and the most important thing is do they have good hands? You got to have somebody at the wide receiver spot that can catch the ball. Now, if you're going to use your wide receiver primarily as a blocker, then you can put somebody out there that’s maybe not as good of a catcher to be in a blocking pattern. But you want somebody overall that can block, somebody that can catch the ball well, and also somebody that can run out of tackles. You also want to look as somebody that can run routes, and what we mean by that is somebody that is athletic enough and agile enough that they can fake somebody out, get into a route, and then make the catch. So it takes a lot to be a wide receiver, you got to pick the right person.
