Opening Rules of Competitive Judo

On behalf of Expert Village, I am Angel Perez with Champion Martial Arts in Miami, Florida. Today, we are talking about competitive Judo. Now, we're going to talk a little bit about the rules and regulations of a Judo tournament competition. When your name is called to come up on the mat, you must first come in the mat, check in with the officials at a table, and get ready. Because you are up next. They will call your name to come on to the mat. There is always two judges in a Judo match. The chairs will represent the judges right now. And, a referee, who I will be playing right now at this moment. So, once they call your name, Andy Castro, John Casas, you will walk on the outside, on the outside of the mat. You will position yourself there until the referee asks you to come in. You must always bow. Step up to the line, bow again. And the referee will call out, Ahjamee, that means "begin." And they will begin their competition.
