Hold Duration for Judo Throw

On behalf of Expert Village I am Angel Perez, with Champion Martial Arts in Miami, Florida, and today we are talking about competitive Judo. Again for the competitive training of Judo for competition, you need to know all the angles. So know I am going to do a variation of exactly what I have been doing, it is just a little easier for me to grab him on the other side of the lapel. In Judo you are only allowed to hold for five seconds on the same side. You are supposed to hold both sides. But just for the sake of this one technique I am going to do a variation of it. Now I am going to walk him to my left, he?s going to walk to his right. Okay now he?s not coming to my back, so now I have to work a little quicker, use a little bit more speed. I bring him here, flip him over, and I am dropping to one knee; same technique, but a little variation of it. In real time.
