Over Shoulder Throw in Competitive Judo

On behalf of Expert Village, I am Angel Perez with Champion Martial Arts in Miami, Florida and today we are talking about Competitive Judo. Okay, obviously when you are training for competition you need a lot of exercise, a lot stretching, a lot warming up, a lot jogging. We are going to skip that right now and we are going to go straight into the techniques. First technique I will show you and how it is that we train to perfect our techniques is called "Marotai Seronagai". It is a double handed over the shoulder throw and it goes like this. Grip underneath the elbow, very important because this what is called "Usushi", this is the hand that brings them off balance, brings them to me. I step in, pull, see how my elbow goes right underneath his armpit, he is off balance. My next move is to step back and then turn.
