How to Play 'Hip Shakin Mama' in Open G Tuning: Part 1

Hi I'm Rick Tobey and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to demonstrate some slide guitar. And now we're going to play the same song only we are going to play it primarily without the slide. You just take your index finger and put it over the first two strings on the third fret. You get a G seventh cord. And by lifting your finger up and down to mute the strings your can get a kind a rhythmic thing going. Then you can lead into the second cord of the song which is C cord by hitting the fourth string open and taking your second finger on the fourth fret of the first string, and then sliding up so it would be like this. Then you would take your third finger on the third fret the third string and your next finger on the first fret, the second string. And you can play that, primarily just playing the four top four strings. You get a C cord, C seventh cord. So if we do that again that's how you would play it with your open cords.
