Hi, I'm Rick Tobey on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to demonstrate some slide guitar. Now when you play the slide guitar, there are many different ways you can tune it. You can tune it to a standard tuning or you can tune it to an open chord which is what I prefer. I like to tune my guitar to an open G chord. So that each note would be a note in the G chord that way when I use the slide, I can slide it up to the fifth fret for example and have a G chord. The seventh fret would be a D chord and then the twelve fret is also a G chord. When you tune it you can either tune it by here or you can use an electronic digital tuner which is what I prefer. You can tune the notes of the chord are quite simple would be a D B G D G and a D then you have an open tuning in G.
