Hi, I'm Rick Tobey on behalf of Expert Village and this is Blues Progressions Part 3. Now another good blues riff to play is where you, well, I'll play it first and then I'll explain it. Now, if you're using lighter strings on an electric guitar, it's much easier to do this and you can actually stretch a little further. But in this technique, you're stretching the string and then letting it come back down again. And you're taking, you're playing two notes at a time. So you're anchoring your third finger on the eighth fret of the B string, which is actually a G note. And you're using your second finger on the seventh fret of the G string and you're stretching it. So this note is a D, stretching it to like a D-sharp and that would be a C. So the riff would sound like this. And you can incorporate that the end of say playing a longer riff. So you see, just by learning this scale, you can really get a lot out of just that one scale. So practice your exercises and your different techniques and in a little while you'll be a blues guitar player.
