Pinning Center Zipper

Hi, I'm Karen, for Expert Village. Now we removed our zipper completely, our faulty zipper, and we'll put that aside. And now we want to turn our garment inside out, and placing right sides together, we're going to baste the zipper opening closed. Now you want to match up your top of your garment, the waistband that's been sewn on, you want to match that up well, you don't want that to be off in any way. So match it up and place a pin there. You can match up the fold of the zipper opening so that it's nice. You want to baste it together in the same spot that you had it before. And you're going to just start here, where the waistband just stops right there, where the waistband is sewn on. And we're going to put a large stitch length for a basting. I am going to remove this pin, and you don't want to knot it, you're just going to baste. You're going to be removing this later, and baste it down as far as you can go. Remove your pins, and we basted that closed.
