Removing Italian Cream Cake from Oven

Hi, my name is Gail Hoffman and I’m in, I live in North Reddington Beach, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village I am going to demonstrate how to make Italian Crème Cake. Okay our cakes are ready to take out of the oven, you can see that they are a nice light golden brown and to tell if a cake is done, you press on it and it should just spring back just a little bit. So these are done and we are going to let them cool thoroughly which will take a couple of hours, you don’t want any heat on the cakes when you are putting the frosting on them. It will just turn into a liquid so probably a good two hours, you can even bake these a day ahead and that would probably be optimal. A full day of cooling, however if you don’t have a full day to let them cool or you need them in a couple of hours, it is okay if you just want to put them in the refrigerator or even the freezer depending on your time constraints.
