Hi, my name is Gail Hoffman and I’m in, I live in North Reddington Beach, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village I am going to demonstrate how to make Italian Crème Cake. So we have our sugar and our shortening beating in here and we are going to get them nice and light and fluffy and we are going to add our eggs yolks, five egg yolks, one at a time and then we add one cup of buttermilk and the action of the buttermilk is going to react with the baking soda which again is going to leaven the cake, there is a lot of leavening in this cake. And then we slow the speed down a little bit and then we are going to add a little bit of the flour, about a third and let that mix, okay and then we will just go ahead and add the remaining flour, and let it incorporate and it is always a good idea to one time during the baking, during the mixing process to scrape down the sides of the bowl because flour is going to stick to the side so we just scrape everything down and make sure it all mixes in.
