Analog Audio for Computers

Hi, my name is Tony Ramirez from Tampa, Florida. And on behalf of Expert Village, this is Audio for your PC. Okay, let's talk a little bit about analog audio. Of course analog audio is not digital audio. It is actually an analog signal that has either been transferred from a digital source back and forth. Because of course you're going to put it into your computer, it goes from analog to digital. If it's coming out of your computer, it's coming from digital to analog. So, these connectors that I have right here are just my standard - these are quarter inch cables. This is for a more professional audio set-up. But you can have this used for - let me grab one right here and just show you - you can actually have your standard headphones jack type cable. These are actually the smaller cables that will be used to transfer a stereo signal to or from your computer. So with these cables they will transfer, again, an analog signal from your computer to your speakers - however you have them set up. So for analog signals, you're only going to use either these - like I said, the headphones type jack - or you'll use these, the more professional quarter inch jack. Either one will give you a good, clean analog signal. But it is an analog signal. So those are your ways for analog audio.
