Exterior Home Lighting Outdoor Walls

My name is Brent Shelly with Expert Village and we are talking about lighting design today. Some of the typical layers that you see in outdoor lighting. We also have to consider the building itself. What is the best way to light the building? Obviously that depends on the type of architecture, it depending on the type of finish that you have whether it is stone or brick, or stucco. If you do have a highly textural finish such as a stacked stone wall or a brick you can use fixtures up close to the building and graze up the building. This creates a lot of real interesting shadows and really creates a dramatic effect. You can use wall sconces to help create that sparkle. To help create that decorative lighting layer that we have talked about earlier or a pendant hanging from the ceiling. You can also flow light some of the features that is pulling the light further and flouting the building or the feature from a distance.
