Etiquette for Standing on the Green in Golf

Hi! I am Jason Wyatt, head golf professional at Sunnydale Golf & Country Club and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am here today to show you where to properly stand on the putting green when someone is putting. One of my biggest pet peeves when I come out onto the putting green is people standing in the wrong area. What this makes me do is to focus more on them moving around, than it does me on my putting. So, what I am going to do is I am going to set up my putt and a hit a pretty close shot here to the pin, my set up. Now what we like to see is we really want to see the person standing in front of me here or behind me here. The reason being is they are now out of my peripheral vision. Now I can concentrate more on my putting and less on them moving around. The worst spot you want to stand is in front of the hole or directly behind the putting line. What this does is by standing over the putt, I can still see the person either in my peripheral vision to my right or to my left. So please next time when you are on the putting green make sure you are standing in front of the person or behind the person and be very quiet to allow them to make their putt.
