Preparing Bean Thread for Chinese Pigs Feet: Part 2

Hello my name is Hui, on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show how to make pig feet in Chinese style. You would need about 15-20 minutes to soften up the soy bean threads. Once they are softened, you can cut them into pieces around 2 inch in length. That would be our ideal serving size for most common stewing dishes. The reason for deep frying the soy bean threads is to keep the soy bean threads in shape during the stirring procedure. If you just submerge them directly into the water, there is a tendency they would fall apart during the cooking process. So that is what the prepared soy bean threads looks like.
