Hi, this is Sean Hobson, for Expert Village. We're going to do more warm-up drills getting these guys ready to do some sprinting. We're going to do a drill called the karaoke. You're going to step over, swinging your hips as you go, to loosen up your middle back as well as your legs. It will also give you good agility. You'll step over and then step back moving the side of your hips. We'll have the guys demonstrate what the karaoke looks like. It's easier to see when it's done in a quick motion than slow motion. (Video demo) You see how they get good movement in their hips and backs while stepping over. This is great for foot work, for stretching out; there are so many good things that come from this drill. You always want to make sure you're facing the same direction. The next drill we're going to do is called the shuffle drill. We want to get in a good base, have your hands out as if you're blocking, and you want to move your feet. You don't want your feet to touch. Don't bring your feet together and hit. We shuffle along. You want to try to go at a pretty good pace. Let's show what it looks like to shuffle (video demo). This drill is used by linebackers, linemen, it doesn't matter. Everybody can use the shuffle in a good base. The last one we'll do is a warm up into a sprint. Once we've done the other drills and we're warmed up we're going to shuttle three times. So, we're going to shuttle, shuttle, shuttle and then go right into a sprint. Everything stays low. When we come out of the shuttle we want to go right through with our hands into a sprint and we'll sprint it out. Let's go from shuttles to sprint (video demo). So, we're warmed up and now we're ready to do some running.
