Hi, this is Sean Hobson, for Expert Village. What we want to talk about is the importance of stretching out the hamstring muscle and the groin muscle. These two muscles will help you run faster and cut harder and help prevent major injuries. The first stretch we want to do is the groin stretch. You want to lean out with your right foot and keep your left leg straight. You want to stretch out like this and you'll feel a pull through the middle. Obviously, you want to do one side and then the other. This is what it looks like when the guys stretch out. They'll go to the right first. Hold it for about a 12 count. Then, they'll come back to the left side, nice and slow. We don't want any quick movements to pull those movements. That's one groin stretch we can do. The other one is from a seated position. They'll put their feet together and use their elbows on their inner thighs and pull up. You can see how the guys will get a good stretch of the groin muscle. Tanner will stay down and Matt will get up. Now, we want to get a good stretch on the hamstring muscle. The best way to do it is for Tanner to lay down and Matt to push in on the inside. Tanner will communicate with him and tell him when he's fully stretched. Hold for about a 12 count. Switch legs and repeat. You see how he has a foot on the knee, nice and easy, to keep that foot flat. If not, you don't get a good stretch on the other side. That's how we stretch out our first two important muscle groups on the legs.
