Baking the Crust for Robert Redford Pie

Hi, my name is Brandon Sarkis, on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I'm going to be showing you The Next Best Thing To Robert Redford Pie. If you feel as though it's not going to be enough...like, I'm beginning to wonder if I measured enough flour, I've got some inconsistencies over here. You could always go through, throw some more flour in the pot over here with the rest of your butter, and build up another small batch with the nuts in it, just to help finish it off; which I might have to do here, I don't know, we'll see. Looking pretty good, though. I should also let you know that I don't do the crust all the way up the sides, I just do it on the bottom, so my version of the recipe is almost like a cobbler in that respect. If we do this just right it will cover the entire bottom of the pan. If you do it wrong, it won't. It's just really important to make sure that you work down the edges; push the edges down in the corners, and make sure that those are all nice and even. I've got that all sorted out, and there we go. Here's our crust now. We're going to throw this in the oven now for about twenty five minutes at 350 degrees, just to crust it up on the bottom. Once that cools, we'll go on and make everything else. Into the oven we go.
