Ingredients for Robert Redford Pie

Hi, my name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm going to be showing you how to make the Next Best Thing to Robert Redford Pie. Alright, let's just take a minute to run down our ingredient list for today. Not a whole lot. Over here I've got a cup of all purpose flour. Just the regular stuff you get in the grocery store. No special baking product, going to be part of the crust. Next to that I've got two-thirds cup of butter. In stick measuring thirds, it's about one and one-half stick. I use salted butter but you can use unsalted. Either way, so one and one half sticks of butter. Right here, I've got a cup of walnuts. Want to chop these up. Want to make sure we get enough. Don't get like the glazed ones or salted ones. I want you to get just plain walnuts. Nothing special because this is going to be in your crust. If you used glazed or other weird stuff it would make your crust taste kind of strange. Right here, I've got one eight ounce package of cream cheese. This is a standard size package you can get at the grocery store. So little cream cheese here. This is a popular brand you can get in any city today. The next thing we have here is granulated sugar, just plain white sugar. Nothing special about that. Here we have sixteen ounces of nationally recognized favorite frozen whipped dessert topping. It's something whipped. There are also other versions. This is, find it in your freezer section. Its sixteen ounces. You can get two eight ounce containers or one of the big sixteen ounce containers. I've got that here. Here, you can't really tell because of the packages, but one of these is instant pudding that's chocolate and one that's vanilla. So one chocolate and one vanilla. You want to go with the larger; I think it's about five and a half ounce package. This is a popular brand which is why I cover the package. So one chocolate and one vanilla. Also over here is three fourths cup of regular milk. I wouldn't use skim milk, but you can use two percent milk which I'm using here. Use whole milk or anything in between. I wouldn't go with skim because it's going to change the texture of the pudding, make it taste kind of weird. Make it kind of runny, probably. Here I've just got some chocolate baking chips, but you can use regular, but you can use regular chocolate chips. We're going to chop these up or shave these if you want to and use them as dessert topping. So that being said, we will move on to our ingredients.
